Flying beyond digital reaching the #PostFuture
(March 8th - July 23rd 2017)

The Athens International Airport and the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) continue their collaboration with a new multimedia exhibition under the title #PostFutureJourney, inviting visitors and passengers to a “post-digital” experience, where the digital merges with the analog and the physical.

The exhibition #PostFuture Journey includes installations as well as video art and animation screenings of both Greek and foreign artists. It presents 41 video art and animation works, 25 of which will be screened for the first time in Greece, the impressive audiovisual installation “Light Catcher” of Giannis Kranidiotis, a dialogue between sound and light, and the interactive installation “Emotional Mirror” by the company random quark (Theodoros Papatheodorou Phd, Tom Chambers), which enables the audience to interact by analysing facial expression and reflecting them back as tweets!

The airport, a place of shifting realities, where travelling and everyday life coexist, constitutes the ideal starting point to “take-off” to an interactive journey into the “post-future”. The exhibition is on display in the Art & Culture area, located at the Arrivals Level, open to the public on a 24-h basis.

The tribute ‘Feel Free to Feel Green’ is implemented through the Operational Program "Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning" and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek national funds.
