“Cultural DestiNAtions”

In the framework of AIA’s cooperation with the Social Cooperative Enterprise PHELLOE, the 

Cultural DestiNAtions programme continues on Friday, May 24th, 2024, hosting its fourth 

destination, China. 

Visitors and passengers of Athens International Airport are invited to experience a holistic 

event that will travel them for a while to the magic of China. They will be able to watch dance 

shows and martial arts demonstrations, participate in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and 

taste Chinese delicacies while viewing images from travel bloggers who have visited China. 

On a giant LED wall, they will admire a video art piece featuring the characteristic "koi fish", 

while at the same time they may be photographed in a Photo booth with a backdrop of a 

Chinese temple and explore the Forbidden City of China through VR. 

The more courageous can participate in a brief QUIZ with genuine questions and all could 

ask their name written by a Chinese calligrapher. 

The Cultural DestiNAtions programme, a cultural project of the Athens International Airport 

in collaboration with the Social Cooperative Enterprise PHELLOE, will continue in 2024, with 

experiences from unique countries around the world, in an open dialogue with the customs 

and characteristics of each culture, with plenty of music, culinary delights and many 

surprises!
