“Cultural DestiNAtions”

As part of the Cultural DestiNAtions programme, organised in cooperation with the Social Cooperative Enterprise PHELLOE, and in celebration of Octoberfest, an event themed “Another Germany” will be held at Athens International Airport on Friday, October 18th, 2024.

Many have travelled to Germany—some even multiple times. This time, however, travellers and visitors at Athens International Airport will experience “Another Germany” in just 60 minutes, in a way they never imagined possible within an airport!

On a giant screen, famous German philosophers will share their narratives with the audience, who will have already witnessed a unique dance show, the Walzer, and a movement performance set to electronic music by Kraftwerk.

In the photobooth, attendees can cross the street with the help of the iconic “Ampelmann”, participate in a workshop to create their own Bauhaus poster, test their knowledge of Germany through a themed quiz, immerse themselves in the German countryside via VR, learn about beer, and sample flavours associated with the country. Before leaving with a souvenir, they can also showcase their skills in the Walzer!
