The Athens International Airport hosts the exhibition “Women of the Cyclades through time” designed specifically for its exhibition venue by the Museum of Cycladic Art.

The exhibition puts on display parts of the history of the Cyclades as seen through the female marble figurines produced by the insular societies of the third millennium BC. Smaller and larger artefacts which represent the female figure either as a mother, or as a goddess or an offering. The cycladic figurines of the renown collection of the Museum of Cycladic Art present a society which adored women and influenced artists of the 20^th century such as C. Brancusi, A. Modigliani, H. Moore, A. Giacometti and others. Images of an unknown society, but also of a society so close to ours, as illustrated on the video of the exhibition.

Duration of the exhibition: October 7, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

The exhibition venue is accessible 24/7 to all passengers and visitors of the Airport.
