The artworks were created during the 2008-2009 school year, in order to support pupil’s projects in the framework of the environmental campaign “ECOMOBILITY, Ecological Automation, Contribution to the Environment”. The programme is organized under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of National Education & Religion, Transport & Communications, Development, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Stavros Dimas, as well as the Representation of the European Commission in Greece.

The programme’s aim is to enhance awareness among citizens on crucial environmental problems caused by the excessive use of vehicles, the reduction of pollutants that affect the environment and health, and also to provide suggestions-solutions for a better life in big cities.

The exhibition will be on display at the Environmental Information Centre (Departures Level, Entrance 3) 24 hours a day and is accessible by all airport visitors.
