The promotion of the project The project‟s logo reads „seanairgy‟, and has a dual sense: it addresses the joint undertaking and the dual mode of transport, i.e. the sea and the air. Furthermore, the flying fish stands for an accelerated flow in the air and sea. The progress to date The project gradually took off in 2007, when a series of successful shipments were carried out from Haifa, Israel to the USA and Canada. The two main commodities were garments and perishables and the average shipment weighed 15 tonnes. Same day link between Piraeus and Athens airport was achieved at all times, while the total transit time never exceeded the 5-day time window. page 11
