Skytrax World Airport Awards
Athens International Airport is Best Airport in Southern Europe

One more, very special distinction for Athens International Airport, for Customer Satisfaction: In the framework of the Skytrax World Airport Awards, the world’s largest, annual airport customer satisfaction survey, Athens International Airport was voted by passengers, as the Best Airport in S. Europe.

This award on behalf of the passengers, is one more reward for AIA’s investment programme for the total aesthetic, functional, and commercial upgrade in the terminal areas, a project implemented during the last years. Moreover, the distinction follows AIA’s recent ASQ / ACI World top recognition as best airport in Europe for customer satisfaction.

On the airport’s newest distinction, Athens International Airport’s Director, Communications and Marketing, Ioanna Papadopoulou, stressed: “We are very pleased that the quality of airport services and passenger experience at Athens airport keep receiving awards! Our passengers, daily enjoying the airport’s “new face”, place us this time at the top of S. Europe’s airports, in the framework of Skytrax World Airport Awards. All of us at the Athens International Airport will keep up with the same strategic focus to fulfill our investment programme with additional works and services for the travellers using our airport.”
