Athens International Airport certified according to ISO 9001:2000

The Information Technology and Telecommunications Unit (IT&T) of Athens International Airport was certified according to ISO 9001:2000 by TUV Hellas (a member of TUV NORD Group).

TÜV Hellas certified the introduction and implementation of a Quality Management System covering the whole spectrum of AIA’s IT&T Unit activities.

Specifically, the certification relates to:

Ι. The provision of IT&T services, including airport operation systems and
ΙΙ. The design, implementation and management of integrated Information Technology & Telecommunications projects and solutions

The introduction of a Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 contributes to a better perception of and a quicker response to customer requirements. Along with the "Recognition for Excellence" Award of the European Foundation for Quality Management (January 2003), this new certification acknowledges AIA’s commitment towards providing state-of-the-art IT&T services.

AIA’S IT&T Unit has successfully developed external business activities in the domestic and international market, providing integrated IT&T solutions and consultant services, to major private and public organisations.
