General Measures

Are there sanitary measures currently in effect?

Domestic flights: All measures related to the corona pandemic are lifted. All passengers on domestic flights regardless of airport of destination no longer require  valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from a PCR/Rapid test.

Arrivals in Greece: All arriving passengers into Greece regardless of country of origin, no longer require valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from a PCR/Rapid test.

Departures from Greece to international destinations: Before any flight, it is highly recommended that you contact your airline or the embassy/ consulate of the destination country, in order to be informed if  there are specific measures in place in that country. Additionally, you could visit the destination airport website for Covid-19 related info. Latest and up-to-date information about Covid-19  travel measures and entry requirements per country, is also available in the  IATA Timatic “COVID-19 Travel Regulations Map”.

Is there a facility for diagnostic tests for SARS-COV-2 (Covid-19) at the airport premises? Can I take a diagnostic test at the airport premises?

Kindly be advised that the diagnostic testing service for SARS‑CoV‑2 (Covid‑19), previously offered by Athens Medical Center at the specially configured testing point on the “Arrivals” level (between exits 2 and 3), is currently unavailable.
