Scheduled maintenance on the two runways

From 23/11 23:00 to 6/12 23:59, scheduled heavy maintenance will be carried out on the two runways, in two six-day, consecutive phases.
During the works, flight delays may occur occasionally.

Traffic Arrangements as of 21/07/2025, in the context of the construction works for the new multi-storey car park

•   One traffic lane is closed from the entrance to the outer arrivals’ road to the Sofitel hotel.
•   The Short Term 1 parking area is now closed, and its operation has been fully relocated to the Long-Term parking area.
•   It is recommended to allow extra time for driving through the area.

“His Majesty the King of Spain",

…invites the passengers and visitors of the Athens International Airport to a fascinating journey through the "kingdom" of their music!

Friday, September 25, at 12:30, Departures – Airport’s Shopping Centre – Public Area

“HMTKOS”, is a four-member band that “reigns” over Athens; their sound combines diverse music styles, from introverted blues and gospel, to up-lifting surf and Americana, remaining true to its pop core.

The live performance is part of the Fly me to the Moon programme, a manifold cooperation between Athens International Airport and ελculture cultural platform.
