AIRLINE DEVELOPMENT

WHO WE ARE

The airport’s “Route Development team” seeks new business opportunities for the development of Athens’ air-transportation network. Attracting new airlines and introducing new and/or additional routes, benefits the city, the travellers and the airport company as well. Additionally, AIA’s Route Development team supports the successful operation of the airlines flying into Athens while promoting the airport’s image in the global aviation community.

In order to achieve our goals we offer:

  • a strong incentive policy - one of the most generous incentive schemes globally, reviewed and enhanced on a consistent basis to maximise the benefits for the airlines and remain competitive and up to date
  • an extensive range of joint promotional and advertising activities to almost every airline operating scheduled services to the Athens airport
  • a variety of key information, such as customised market analyses, traffic forecasts, feasibility studies, available to airlines so that they may evaluate risks and opportunities and expand their business in Athens
