Athens International Airport’s (AIA) Information Technology & Telecommunications Business Unit (IT&T BU) acts as the owner, operator, and integrator of the airport’s IT&T infrastructure, delivering reliable, state-of-the-art, cost-effective, and innovative digital solutions. 

As a licensed telecommunications provider, the IT&T BU offers a comprehensive portfolio of services to the entire airport community — including airlines, ground handlers, passengers, concessionaires, and authorities — supporting over 400 business entities and approximately 18.900 employees.

Operating on a 24/7 basis, the IT&T BU delivers ISO 9001 and ISO 20000 certified services, ensuring high reliability, operational efficiency, and enabling digital transformation.

Driving continuous innovation is a core strategic priority. The IT&T BU actively initiates, drives and implements Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and innovation initiatives in collaboration with suppliers, ICT integrators, and startups/technology providers. Through these partnerships, the IT&T BU continuously evolves its portfolio of services, aligning with the latest developments in the digital landscape.
