Overview
Athens International Airport in collaboration with the Directorate of Secondary Education of Eastern Attica, under the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports is hosting an exhibition featuring the artworks of secondary school students who stood out in the Student Comic Art Competition themed: “Safely to the Destination, Imaginatively in Art.”
The competition aimed to raise awareness among students on road safety through artistic expression. The exhibited works stand out for their powerful and immersive storytelling, using the unique expressive medium of the comic art form.
Through bold contrasts, intensity, and movement, the students depict behaviours and attitudes that promote responsible conduct on the road. Knowledge meets imagination in a familiar and engaging medium that fosters empathy, respect for traffic rules, and awareness of the value of human life.
Visitors are invited to see through the students’ eyes how a creative medium like comic art can communicate clear messages about road safety. Their works shed light on everyday behaviours, encourage responsible thinking, and demonstrate how art can meaningfully contribute to building awareness and fostering prevention.
The exhibition is open daily on a 24hour basis.
