"Art for Kids": A special initiative by Athens airport, for our youngest passengers.

Athens International Airport proudly launches the  “Art for Kids” programme, a new initiative, specially created for children, that brings art, learning, and joy together.

The first event, held in celebration of Europe Day, will offer to primary school children a creative, multisensory and interactive journey through Europe – right here, in the heart of the airport.

We invite all of you, to embrace this effort and help share the spirit of the initiative: our airport is not only a travel hub, but a place of culture, care, and learning – where children are truly welcome.

The programme includes:

• A dance-theatre performance inspired by the myth of The Abduction of Europa
• Live performance of the European Union Anthem, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy by the ancient Greek music ensemble Lyraulos
• Theatrical storytelling of “The Stars of Europe”
• Interactive anti-war workshop, based on European Commission’s audiobook “The Adventures of Pegasus”
• Art stations, mini mosaics and posters of European cityscapes
• Interactive wall installation of European flags
• Fun photobooth with emojis with and Europe-themed fun quotes
• Face painting inspired by the map of Europe
