Piano City 2025: Where piano meets the Greek heritage & tradition

Piano City® Athens was organized for the third time in Athens, from the 12^th to the 18^th of May 2025, and transformed the whole city into a huge concert hall dedicated to the piano. The event was held under the auspices of the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Athens. The State Orchestra of Athens undertook the artistic direction of the festival.

On Friday, May 16th, a piano filled the terminal with arrangements of traditional Greek melodies, while dancers in authentic regional costumes brought the rhythms of Greece to life through dances from across the country.

The experience was enriched by a large LED wall, which showcased Greece’s enchanting landscapes—its islands, mountains, and villages—alongside imagery of traditional attire from each region, offering travelers a journey within their journey.

This vibrant cultural celebration, held at a place where the world’s paths crossed, highlighted Greek music and heritage through a fresh and original lens.
