In cooperation with National Geographic Greece, Athens International Airport hosted two significant exhibitions with environmental and artistic interest. The first, titled “Greece of National Geographic”, took place from February 22nd to May 31st 2011 and selectively presented a collection of themes from the natural, human and cultural environment, realised by the Greek photographers and scientific collaborators of the magazine during its 12-year presence in Greece. The second exhibition titled “Great Animal Migrations” was considered an important attempt that was presented at the magazine’s international edition, while the exhibition that took place at the airport was hosted by National Geographic Society in USA with great success.
